Sandra "Nan" J. (Nagel) Detz

Sandra Jean “Nan” (Nagel) Detz, 77, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2014 in her home. She was born Friday, June 11, 1937 in Elizabethtown to the late John Nagel and Dorothy E. (Zink) Stoner. She was predeceased by her loving husband Quinn Detz, Jr. in 2010 and her daughter, Diana Leeper in 2014.

Sandra was a member of the VFW Post 5667 and the American Legion Post 197, where she was affectionately called Mom by her fellow members. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards, especially the game 500. She enjoyed keeping her hands busy building puzzles. Most importantly Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Pamela Tesch and husband Bruce, Suzanne Detz, and Barbara Detz and husband Steven Weaver; 3 sons, Thomas Detz and wife Tammy, Stephen Detz and wife Teresa, and Robert Detz; a son-in-law, Robert Leeper; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 28th at 6 PM at Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 4 PM until time of the service. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville on Monday, December 29th at 9:30 AM.
