Sandra Lee Shellenhamer, 77, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. She was born on October 9, 1948 to the late William R. and Gladys A. (Beers) Hallman. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Barry Lee Shellenhamer.

Sandy was known for being organized, crafting, and gardening. She enjoyed teaching her family about candy making and sewing costumes for her grandchildren. Sandy was very involved with her church, The Encounter Church of Palmyra, baking cookies and volunteering her time. She always put her faith first and others needs before her own. She was known for being very adventurous and loved to water ski when she was younger. More than anything she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

She is survived by her children, Stacy Strait and husband Larry, Jr. and William “Bill” Shellenhamer and wife Maria; grandchildren, Lance and wife Libby, Hannah, Connor, Cole, Joey, Leah, and Kayla; and sister, Beverly Overa and husband Tom. She was predeceased by her siblings, Gene Hallman, Eddie Hallman, and Carolyn Uhrich.

A funeral service will he held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 6 pm at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A time of viewing will be held from 4 pm until the start of the service. Burial will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 10:30 am at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to her church, Encounter Church of Palmyra, 220 Campbelltown Rd., Palmyra, PA 17078.
