Samuel L. Shank, 78, of Annville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 17, 2020.  He was born on Tuesday, April 28, 1942 to the late Lester and Thelma Shank.  He was predeceased by his loving wife Janet M. Shank since December 15, 2004.

Samuel sang gospel and spread kindness to local nursing homes, he was a member of the band Sunny and the Country Kings which he wrote songs for.  He was also a Nascar and racing fan and well as a Dallas Cowboy fan.  Most importantly he was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather.

He is survived by his children: Tammy Hollis, Lori Smith, Samuel Shank, Jr., Jody Shank, Jeffrey Shank and Pat Lambert; grandchildren; Alyssa Smith, Amanda Duvall, Nicole Caudill, and Lance Garrison; great grand children, Anthony, McKenzie, Caprice, Brock Briel, and Ziara, and Javon Garrison; two great-great grandchildren; and brothers, Jim and Tim Shank.  He is predeceased by a daughter, Vicky Alsedek and siblings Herb Shank, Christine, and Robert Seiders.

A funeral will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 1PM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Reverend Glen L. Compton officiating.  A time of viewing will be held from noon until the start of the service.  Burial will follow at Grand View Cemetery, Annville.
