S. Michael Black

Stanley Michael “Mike” Black, of Etters passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the age of 66.  Born in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of Marion (Smith) Black and the late Stanley S. Black, Jr, and was the loving husband of the late Teresa Black.

After graduating from Red Land High School he enlisted in the Air Force where he served for five years. He then became employed at the New Cumberland Army Base as a diesel mechanic supervisor. He was a member of F&AM Robert Burns Lodge #464, Tall Cedars, Shriners, AACA National and Hershey Region, volunteer fire fighter for Lisburn Fire Company and Fairview Twp. Fire Company, Central Penn Corvette Club, and Harrisburg Hunters & Anglers. He loved going to Carlisle Car Shows, displaying one or more of his own cars.

Mike is survived by his mother, Marion, his brother, Kevin Black wife Jodi, his nephew Jeremy Black, his niece Savannah Black, Jeremy’s wife, Miranda, and his great niece, Lilah Renee Black and several cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at Sell Chapel from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM March 16, 2023 at Sell Chapel at Masonic Village. A Masonic Service will be held at 12:00 PM followed by a memorial service.

Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 2:00 PM, March 16, 2023.
