Ruth P. (Aungst) Sweigart

Ruth Pauline (Aungst) Sweigart, 76, of Middletown, passed away May 6, 2017. She was born November 30, 1940 in Bainbridge to the late Mary E. (Alleman) Brownsberger. She is survived by her loving husband Richard E. Sweigart.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Debra Barrett (Stephen) and Barbara Light; 5 grandchildren, Brandon Haldeman (Rebecca), Joshua Barrett (Amanda), Grayson Barrett, Nicholas Light and Marissa Light; 3 great-grandchildren, Raegan Haldeman, Addisyn Barrett and Caleb Haldeman; and 6 siblings, Linda Davis (Samuel), N. Jean Shank (Glenn), Larry Aungst (Joyce), Steve Aungst (Debra), Tim Aungst (Vicki) and Nancy Peterson (Jeff).

Ruth was a 1959 graduate of Donegal High School and retired from Nationwide Insurance Company. She was a faithful member of Presbyterian Congregation of Middletown. Ruthie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11 AM at Presbyterian Congregation of Middletown, 290 N. Union St., Middletown 17057 with Rev. Dr. Bruce Humphrey officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Good’s Mennonite Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
