Ruth E. (Deaven) Rausch

Ruth E. (Deaven) Rausch, 90, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.  She was born Tuesday, October 28, 1924 in Greenpoint to the late Joseph and Sarah (Bucher) Deaven.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Henry A. Rausch.

Ruth was a faithful member of Palm Lutheran Church and was part of their women’s quilting group.  She enjoyed the outdoors as an avid camper and a joyful gardener.

She is survived by 2 step-sons, Robert L. Rausch and Henry J. Rausch and wife Bonnie; and 6 grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Susan Rausch; and 4 siblings, Harold, Norman, Esther, and Verna.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 12th at noon at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 with Rev. Dr. John D. Merkel officiating.  Family and friends are invited for viewing from 11 AM until time of the service.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Palm Lutheran Church, 11 W. Cherry St., Palmyra 17078.
