Ruth Carol Kisthardt

Ruth Carol Kisthardt, 86, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026. Born on December 25, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Esther A. (Hatches) Nemeth. She was the loving wife of 66 years to the late Bruce Edward Kisthardt.

Ruth loved reading, traveling the United States, and making Bunsen burners with the girl scouts. She enjoyed watching football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, she loved her husband and family.

She is survived by her three children, David B. Kisthardt (Estelle), Carol Kisthardt (Larry Gehbauer), and Adam Kisthardt (Rhonda); two grandchildren, Dr. Samantha Kisthardt (Andrew Ratchford) and Cord Kisthardt (Emily); two great grandchildren, Emersyn Jane and Elliott Ann Kisthardt; sister, Esther Ross (Donald); and two nephews, Matthew and Jason Ross. She is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Tina M. Kisthardt; along with her husband and parents.

Service and interment is private at the convenience of the family.
