Ruth L. (Link) Hodge

Ruth L. Hodge, 95, of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, formerly of Brentwood, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. Born in Bloomville, OH, she was the daughter of the late Willis K. and Avis (Brown) Link. She was the wife of the late Edwin S. Hodge who died in 1989.
Ruth was a member of Baldwin Community United Methodist Church, Pittsburgh, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 407, Elizabethtown and Amaranth. She was a graduate of Shippensburg University where she earned a BA in Elementary Education.
Ruth is survived by three children: Jessica Hodge (Stephen), Folsom, CA; William B. Hodge (Stewart) Holliston, MA and Kellen E. Hodge (Susan), Brownsville, PA ; a grandson Jeremy K. Hodge (Tanya); great grandson Jackson Jeremy Hodge; a brother W. Kellen Link, Sarasota, FL and a sister Martha Jane Spain, Hamilton, OH.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown at 2:00 PM with the family receiving friends at 1:00 PM and on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Baldwin Community United Methodist Church, 5001 Baptist Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 at 2:00 PM with the family receiving friends at 1:00 PM. There will be no viewing. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Piseco Historical Society or to the Rowland-Hodge Scholarship Fund, Shippensburg University of PA or to Baldwin Community United Methodist Church.
