Ruth E. Gilmore

Ruth Elizabeth Gilmore, 91, of Palmyra, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. She was born Saturday, October 15, 1921 in Myerstown to the late Stella (Wagner) Martin. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry E. Gilmore in 1976.
She was a loving and caring soul that dedicated her life to serving and caring for others. She enjoyed decorating, sending cards, teaching, singing, and monthly crafting with children’s Sunday school classes.
She is survived by three daughters, Jeanne F. Seltzer and husband Terry of Palmyra, Brenda C. Kern of Palmyra, and Anita R. Ramsbottom of St. Petersburg, FL; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, John S. Rittle of Palmyra, Edwin G. Rittle of Boyertown, and James L. Rittle of Myerstown. She was predeceased by a brother, Herman Rittle.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 27
th
at 2 PM at Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, 131 Gravel Hill Rd., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Rev. Douglas Smith officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra has been entrusted with the arrangements.
