Rudolf A. Pfleger, 87, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Bucks County, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Munich, Germany, he was the son of the late Anton and Katharina (Mock) Pfleger. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Elaine C. (DeStefano) Pfleger.

Before moving to the US in his early 20’s, Rudy apprenticed as a Tool and Die Maker in Germany and earned his Certificate in the trade. He had a unique understanding of machinery and thrived in his career.

In 1968 - 2018, he worked in his machinery sales business, Inter Precision, Inc. After moving around over the years, Rudy and Elaine settled into their home at Masonic Village in 2021.

In his free time, he enjoyed both playing and coaching soccer, skiing and sailing. Rudy was an all-around sports fan. He was a proud member of two German clubs, the Vereunigung Erzgebirge (Southampton, PA), and was a former vice-president at the Connstatter Volfsfest-Verein (Philadelphia, PA).

Rudy is survived by three children from his first marriage: Rudolf Pfleger, Jr. and wife Cheryl, Anita Mahoney and husband Timothy, and Christine Cvek and husband Scott. He gained three step-children from his second marriage: Edward “Red” Birch, Jr., and wife Patricia, Elaine Williams and husband Scott, James Birch and fiancée Elizabeth, as well as 17 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Anton and granddaughter Rebecca Cvek.

A Memorial Service will take place at 12pm on Monday, April 24, 2023 at EBIC (Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church) 996 E. High Street Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Visitation will be held from 11am until the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. 717-367-1543.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rudy’s honor may be made to the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown and mailed to Masonic Villages, Office of Gift Planning, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022
