Rosalie Mae Cunningham, age 85 passed away peacefully on January 10, 2023 at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. She was born October 17, 1937 in Lewiston, Maine. She was married 60 years to Marvin Arlo Cunningham, Sr., predeceased.

Rosalie, the eldest of 10 children Graduated from Wells High School in Wells, Maine and she attended University of Saint Joseph in Hartford, Connecticut. While a military spouse with her husband during his Navy career, they were stationed in the US and Italy. She was actively supportive of Marvin’s Masonic journey. Rosalie served as president of the Valley Forge Homestead Quilters. She was the first in her generation to research an early ancestor and veteran of the American Revolution and became an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Rosalie was a member and served in several ministries of Dallas United Methodist Church in Dallas, Pennsylvania.

Rosalie is survived by Florence, A. Shumpert and her husband, Kevin of Lexington, South Carolina; Robert J Cunningham, of Lexington, South Carolina; two grand children: Jeremy E. Shumpert and Samantha Stevens and also three great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Christine Carbon and three brothers, Stephen Brackett, Gerald Brackett, and Brian Brackett.

Rosalie was predeceased by her husband, Marvin, A. Cunningham, Sr.; a son, Marvin, A. Cunningham, Jr., and a grandson, Benjamin C. Shumpert. She is also predeceased by one sister, Donna Johnson, and four brothers, Bill Brackett, Donald Brackett, Philip Brackett, and Michael Brackett.

Services will be held at John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Villages, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania on Monday, January 16, 2023. Viewing will be from 9 to 10 AM followed by the funeral service at 10 AM. Interment will take place at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, PA 19468 at 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rosalie’s memory to Masonic Villages, One Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
