Ronald Michael Speece

Ronald M. “Mike” Speece, 53, of Hershey, passed away at home on Friday, December 11, 2020. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of Ralph Speece & Barbara (Herr). He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Heidi S. (Reinhart) Speece.

Mike worked as a check out clerk at Walmart for 14 years. He was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan, and enjoyed fishing and playing chess. He had a kind natured personality, which made him a great people-person. Above all, he adored his grandkids, who fondly called him Papa.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three children: Justin Speece and wife Necher of GA, David Speece of Pine Grove, and Heather Bates and husband Ryan of Palmyra; seven grandchildren: Karleigh, Jaedyn, Karyssa, Cadence, Jaylee, Angela, and Noah; brother, Steve Speece of Hershey, nephew, Corrin Speece of Hershey, aunt Sissy, uncle Sam, and many cousins. He was predeceased by his uncle, Ronald Speece, and great uncle, Doc.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Palmyra. 717-838-9211
