Ronald G. MacLeod

Ronald Gordon MacLeod, 67, passed away on December 22, 2015 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with ALS.  Through his battle he maintained his sense of humor and faith.  He was born May 12, 1948 in Harrisburg to the late Donald Roland and Dorothy (Gordon) MacLeod.

Ronald proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard.  He earned a Bachelors of Science in biology then chose to pursue a career in the trucking industry as an owner/operator. He also had a passion playing the drums professionally in a local country and western band.  He was a member of Prince Edwin-Spring Creek Masonic Lodge # 486 and a member of the Zembo Shrine Police Unit.

He is survived by his wife Martha Ann MacLeod; a son, Bryan MacLeod and wife Jaime; 2 granddaughters, Annalise and Caelyn MacLeod; 2 sisters, Donna MacLeod-Davies and husband Jeff and Charlene Claytor; and 2 nephews, Thomas and Donald Claytor.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 28th at 11AM at Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 208 N. Union St., Middletown 17057 with Rev. Dr. J. Richard Eckert officiating.  A Masonic Service will precede the funeral service.  Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his honor to ALS Association, Greater Philadelphia Chapter, 321 Norristown Rd., Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002.
