Ronald Roy “Ron” Boltz, Sr., 61, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born Wednesday, June 20, 1951 in Lebanon to the late Roger and Doris (Parnes) Boltz. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Beverly (Sweinhart) Boltz.
He served in the US Army, and worked for Hershey Foods from 1978 until his disability leave in 2000. He was a member of the Amvets Post 93, Jonestown. He collected Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars, HO trains, enjoyed feeding and photographing local wildlife. Most importantly he was a loving husband and father.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Ronald Roy Boltz, Jr; a brother Roger Boltz; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited for viewing on Monday, July 2 nd from 6-8 PM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 3 rd at noon at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Martin officiating, with viewing from 11 AM until time of the service. Burial with full military honors will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society, 855A Tuck St., Lebanon 17042.
