Robert J. Kegerreis

Robert J. Kegerreis, 85, of Hershey, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in his home. He was born Tuesday, August 23, 1927 in Campbelltown to the late Clarrence W. and Emma (Eckert) Kegerreis. He is survived by his loving companion of 21 years, Mary Long (Weidman) Fry, and predeceased by his wife Betty H. (Hollingsworth) Kegerreis in 1990.

In addition to his companion Mary, he is survived by a son, Terry L. Kegerreis and wife Marjorie of Erie; a daughter, Sandy Watson and husband James of Elizabethtown; 4 grandchildren, Thomas Kegerreis of Erie, Bradley Kegerreis and wife Kristi of Erie, Robert Watson and wife Jennifer of Lewisberry, Randall Watson and wife LauraLee of Elizabethtown; 8 great grandchildren; 3 siblings, Howard Kegerreis, Jane Light, and Ruthann Bashore; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a grandson, Russell Watson; and 7 siblings.

Robert worked for Cleaver Brooks in Lebanon. He was a faithful member of Trinity United Church of Christ. He had a passion for square dancing, wood carving, and camping. Most importantly he was a loving companion, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 1st at 11 AM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 with Chaplain Betty Fundalewicz officiating, with viewing from 10 AM until time of the service. Burial will follow in Salem UCC Cemetery, Campbelltown.
