Robert G. Hoffman, Jr.

Robert G. “Bob” Hoffman, Jr., 67, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 25, 2021, at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.  Born Sunday, September 20, 1953, in Wiconisco, PA, he was the son of the late Robert G. Hoffman, Sr. and Violet M. (Deitrich) Hoffman.

Bob graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 1971.  He lived his entire life in the lovely town of Elizabethtown and was a familiar face at Elizabethtown Public Library and was also a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elizabethtown.  He was an avid reader and loved history, especially medieval history.  He was also a huge Purdue basketball fan and loved to cheer on his team.

He is survived by a cousin, Shirley Thompson, of Wiconisco, as well as his extended family and caring friends.

Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown  17022, 717-367-1543.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s memory to Elizabethtown Public Library, 10 South Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022.
