Robert John Geib
June 26, 1929 — May 5, 2016
Robert John Geib, 86, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Stone Ridge Towne Centre in Myerstown. Born Wednesday, June 26, 1929 in Palmyra, he was the son of the late Christian A. and Ada S. (Fausnach) Geib. He was the husband of Doris M. (Wolfe) Geib who died in December 2013.
Robert was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. A Parts Manager, he was retired from J.C. Hess Ford, where he worked for 37 years and also had two chicken farms. Mr. Geib was also known as the man with two thumbs (on one hand).
He is survived by three sons: Christ Lee Geib and his wife Sandra of Fredericksburg; Daniel D. Geib and his wife Joan of Bethel and John R. Geib of Myerstown; ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; and four siblings: Ethel Kline, Lebanon; Herb Geib, Elizabethtown; Richard Geib, Carlisle and June Kettering, Annville. He was also predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra at 11:00AM. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment and Military Honors will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
