Robert G. Fisher
March 22, 1950 — January 24, 2020
Robert G. Fisher, 69, of Palmyra, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020, at Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg. Born Wednesday, March 22, 1950, in Hershey, he was the son of the late George W. and Helen E. (Miller) Fisher. He was married to Ronnie L. “Lynn” (Funck) Fisher for over 49 years.
Bob worked a mechanic for H.B. Reese Candy Company for over 38 years. He enjoyed long car rides, looking for yard sales and going to thrift shops.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: Dean Fisher, Selena Fisher, Brenda Fisher, David Fisher and Samantha Fisher, all of the Palmyra/Campbelltown area. Also surviving are Bob’s siblings: Lorene Taraschi, of Palmyra; Rosemary Bickle, of Grantville; Kathleen Jennings, of Grantville and Phylis Lapidus, of Pittsburgh; grandchildren: Laura, Asia and Bobbie Lynn; great-grandchildren: Trinity “Smurfette”, Jason “Bubbers”, Faithlynn “Little One” and Easton “Little Buddy”, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and caring friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mark W. Fisher.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, January 31, 2020, at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078, 717-838-9211, with Reverend Dwight C. Hein officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 1 PM until the time of the service on Friday. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family in Campbelltown United Christian Cemetery.
