Robert W. Dysart

Robert William Dysart, 91, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016. Born in Lansdale, he was the son of the late William Atkinson and Magdalena (Wenkmiller) Dysart. He leaves behind his loving wife of 69 years, E. Jeanne (Long) Dysart.

Robert was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ in Elizabethtown, where he was previously an Elder, usher, and Sunday school teacher. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State University in Animal Husbandry.  Robert was a proud veteran, serving in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Masons, Shiloh Lodge #558, and the Conewago American Legion Post 329. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, carpentry, and of course, following his son’s sports games when they were younger.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Gary R. Dysart, husband of Judith B. of Lansdale, and David W. Dysart, husband of Janice S. of Orangeville; and two grandchildren Evan A. Dysart and Dana C. Dysart.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022 with Reverend Dr. Frederick A. Young officiating. Burial will be at Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown. A viewing will he held prior to the service from Noon-1PM.
