Richard Eldon “Dick” Phillips, 82, of Elizabethtown, passed away at the Lebanon VA Medical Center on Saturday, December 5, 2015.  He was born Tuesday, October 10, 1933 in Washington, PA to the late Joseph F. and Eva M. (Newell) Phillips.  He was married to Margaret L. (Hutter) Phillips on July 1, 1955.

A Veteran of the Korean Conflict, Dick proudly served with the United States Marine Corps.  He worked as a carpenter for the majority of his life, was a proud Marine and enjoyed spending time with his family.  Above all, Dick was a caring husband, loving father and devoted grandfather.

In addition to his wife of over 60 years, he will be lovingly missed by a daughter, Rhonda S. Chiodo, wife of Orazio, of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren: Tonya Underwood, Tabatha Phillips, Richard L. Phillips; a great granddaughter, Jaelyn Eisenhart; a brother, Earl Phillips, husband of Linda, Marcia Chambers, wife of Donald and Marie Allen, wife of Fred, all of Washington, PA as well Dick’s extended family and caring friends.  He was predeceased by three daughters: Sherry D. Phillips, Margaret J. Underwood and Marilyn J. Phillips as well as two sisters, Sheila Jacqueline Jackson and Janet Swallen.

Burial will take place at a later date in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with full Military Honors.
