Richard “Dick” H. Koch, 82, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Penbrook, he was the son of the late Harry V. and Anna M. (McGuire) Koch. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ethel Koch, and will be remembered by their son Kevin, and his wife Ruth M. (Mumma) Koch and their children: Paul Bachman, Terry Bachman, Karen Bachman Sweigart and Jack Bachman; and seven grandchildren.
Richard was a member of Lowther Manor Lodge #781, F&AM, Camp Hill, Zembo Shrine, Zembo Oriental Band, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Forest #43, Loyal Order of Moose #596, Elizabethtown and Sell Chapel at Masonic Village.
Richard was retired from Masonic Village where he had been employed since 1972 as an auto mechanic. He previously owned and operated A&K Automotive in New Cumberland. A Staff Sargent 1st class, Richard served in the US Army Reserve from 1951-57.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown at 2:00 PM. There will be no viewing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Masonic Village Fraternal Care, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
