Richard Joseph Kimmel

Richard Joseph Kimmel, 74, of Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly at home from natural causes. Born in Pine Grove, he was the son of the late Richard K. and Ruth M. (Miller) Kimmel. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 51 years, Patricia F. (Kline) Kimmel.

Richard worked in sales for Schaedler Bros. for 36 years until retirement. He especially enjoyed coaching and playing church softball and watching the Phillies.  In his younger years he liked to go hunting and fishing.  He was a member of Mt. Wilson Church of the Brethren. His world revolved around his 14 grandchildren whom he loved dearly.  Richard enjoyed life and all the people in it. Church and family were the most important things to him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: Joseph (Crystal) Kimmel, Jonathan (Jamie) Kimmel, Valerie (Terry) Yohe, Melissa (Greg) Davis, and Rebecca (Duane) Copenhaver; 14 grandchildren; and sister Debbie Hagerty.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
