Raymond J. Fry, Jr.

Raymond J. Fry, Jr., 92, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2026 at home surrounded by family. Born Tuesday, December 19, 1933 in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Raymond J., Sr. and Sylvia (Dearwechter) Fry. He was married to E. Marie (Patrick) Fry for over 69 years.

Ray was a 1951 graduate of Annville Cleona High School. He served in the US Air Force from 1952 to 1956. Ray was employed 44 years as a Quality Control Inspector and Supervisor working for Pratt & Whitney, Fruehauf Corporation and Burnham Holdings, Inc. over his career.

Ray’s passion was model railroading and toy train collecting and was a member of TCA (Train Collectors Association).

In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by four children, Jolinda Reheard (Steve), John Fry (Catrease), James Fry (Theresa) and Jennifer Mentzer (Jack); 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great great grandson; one sister, Rebecca Williams (Bruce), a brother Michael Fry and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ray was predeceased by a son Randy Ayers, a sister Lydia Cirillo and a granddaughter.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
