RAY K. FUHRMAN

Ray K. Fuhrman, 79, of West Donegal Township, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.

He was born on Wednesday, May 29, 1935 in Marietta, PA to the late Washington H. & Dorothy (Sipling) Fuhrman.

Ray had worked as a mechanic for H.S. Foreman and a truck driver for K. Murphy and Crowe Transportation. He greatly enjoyed being a truck driver and would often reminisce about his life on the road.

He was a member of Elizabethtown Grace Brethren Church. He was a collector of Winross Trucks, enjoyed spending time at his second home in Argo’s Corner, Delaware, and Sunday evening visits from friends and family.

Surviving are his wife Evelyn Mae (Emenheiser) Fuhrman, a son Kenneth R. Fuhrman and his wife Lisa of Elizabethtown, two grandchildren Lindsey Edgell and her husband Chris of Elizabethtown, Shawn Fuhrman and his wife Lauren of Elizabethtown, two great grandchildren Breonna Edgell, Brogan Edgell, a brother Earl S. Fuhrman of Bainbridge, two sisters Jean S. Saam of Elizabethtown, and Nancy S. Engle of Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by his brother Harold S. Fuhrman and his stepfather Earl K. Shoemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Elizabethtown Grace Brethren Church. Burial will be in Mount Joy Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 9am until 11am on Saturday in the church.
