Peggy Moore

Peggy L. Moore, 78, of Columbia, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Susquehanna Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Shamokin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Grace (Kerstetter) Esher.

Peggy was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Mt. Joy. She was employed as a cashier by Weis Market in Mt. Joy and later as a custodian at Elizabethtown College. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and crocheting. She also liked going to the Elizabethtown Senior Center. Peggy was always happy and loved by all, and her greatest joy was her family.

Surviving are four children, David Betz and wife Joanne of Mt. Joy, Grace Hippensteel and husband Frederick of Elizabethtown, Scott Betz of Elizabethtown and Joanne Liskey and husband Shawn of Elizabethtown; seven grandchildren, Eric Betz and wife Katelyn, Brandy Scott and husband Kennedy, Nicole Melton, Jennifer Hippensteel, Leigha Bucks, Ariah Bucks and Milana Bucks; six great grandchildren Saige, Bradyn, Sadie, Peyton, Axel and Jett; a great great grandchild Rowan; and a brother Gary Esher.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
