Pauline (Pean) Shiffer Blough, 93, of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown,
died on Monday, September 17, 2012 at Masonic Village. Born in
Bainbridge, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Martha
(Floyd) Bryan. She was the widow of Bryan Blough and James Shiffer.
Pauline worked at a shoe factory while attending beauty school in
Lancaster. She worked as a beautician in Mount Joy and Dot’s Beauty
Shop in Elizabethtown. She later worked as a clerk at the Market
Basket and Silco, both in Elizabethtown.
Pauline is survived by two daughters: Polly, wife of Eugene Geib and
Susan, wife of Clayton Eshelman; five grandchildren: Amy Vuxta,
Matthew Turner, Jason Turner, Mark Boozer and Timothy Boozer; six
great grandchildren: Kristin and Elizabeth Vuxta, Alyssa and Luke
Turner, and Jozlyn and Ellyn Boozer; a step-daughter, Elaine Hess and
a sister Romaine Bair.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at
Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street,
Elizabethtown at 10:00 AM. There will be no viewing. The family will
receive friends on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
Interment will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice & Community
Care or to the Elizabethtown Public Library.
