Paula Retherford

Paula Retherford, 78, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, November 2, 2026. She was born March 1, 1948, to the late Paul Arthur and Geltruda Ann (Troop) Hershey. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Troy M. Retherford.

Paula retired after a long career as a material handler from Tyco, she then ran Paula and Troy’s Produce stand at the Morning Star Market. She enjoyed spending time at the cabin or going to the casino with her sisters. More than anything she loved to be with her family, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her children, Brian “Denny” Orendorff, Tammy Zook and husband Joel, Gwen Geesey and husband Chris, William “Billy” Orendorff and wife Kaila; step- children, Cindy Davidson, and Richard Retherford; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Denise Fridy and husband Sam, Wendy Riley, and Kevin Hershey. She was predeceased by her brother Paul Hershey.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society.
