Paul A. Tinsman, age 71, of Palmyra, Pennsylvania went home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, November 27th, 2025 surrounded by his devoted and loving family.
Paul was a loving, devoted and incomparable husband, father, and grandfather. He was his families’ north star. Additionally, he was a beloved brother and a cherished friend to so many. Paul will be remembered as being a man of God who fiercely loved his family and friends as well as his country.
Paul had many accomplishments in his lifetime and was always grateful for each person he crossed paths with. His hobbies included a good golf game, many boys’ trips to Myrtle Beach, a ride on his motorcycle or jeep, playing Backgammon or Monopoly, camping, attending events for his kids and grandkids, taking his grand-dogs out for rides in the car, driving tractors, and of course a good quality cigar.
Paul worked for Manheim Auto Auction in various positions for 19 years before he retired in 2010. He managed the Delaware Retail Credit Division at Mellon Bank and volunteered for various organizations such as Red Cross, Brethren Volunteer Service and Mennonite Disaster Service among others.
He is preceded in death by his parents George and Edith Tinsman. He was also greeted in heaven by his beloved grand-dog Mack who, we’re sure, couldn’t wait to get lovies from Poppop and, as promised, showed him the way.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Trisha Tinsman; daughter, Lynn Stoak (Andy); son, Ethan Tinsman (Kelly); grandchildren, Aidan Tinsman, Gregory Stoak, and Kylee Williams; grand-dogs, Gia, Luna, Thor, Zeus, Bailey, Achilles, Titan, CoffeeBean, and Duncan; siblings, Skip Tinsman, Edie Tinsman, Mark Tinsman (Lois), Becky Tinsman; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at noon at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM until the start of the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to All Ears Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, www.aears.org or Forgotten Cats, www.forgottencats.org or The Caring Cupboard, 131 N. Railroad St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
