Ngoy Tuon, 62, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully at 3:33 AM with family by his side on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in his home. He was born Saturday, January 5, 1952 in Battambang, Cambodia to the late Mott Tuon and Monik Tuon. He is survived by his loving wife Chhom (Ouch) Tuon.
Ngoy served in the Army in Cambodia, later serving for the Red Cross in Thailand where he cared for the sick. He volunteered at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home as a nursing volunteer and was employed by the H.B. Reese Company. He enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and fishing. He also enjoyed cleaning, eating, and most importantly spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
He is survived by 4 daughters, Samoune Ringwood, Tavy Gotwalt and husband Marcellus, Starney Panaro and husband Nathan, and Christa Tuon; 6 grandchildren, Tyler and Storm Ringwood, Chazz and Aaliyah Gotwalt, and Arielle and Kaidance Panaro; a brother, Kim Hon Toun; 2 sister-in-laws, Sokha Rosenberger and Sokhur Jang; and 2 sisters in Cambodia.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 30th at 2:30 PM at Annville Church of the Brethren, 495 E. Maple St., Annville 17003 with Pastor Jim Beckwith officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 1:30 PM until time of the service. There will also be a Traditional Cambodian Ceremony to be held on Sunday, August 31st at 1 PM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078.
