Nancy "Lulu" L. (Welsh) Emrich

Nancy L. “Lulu” (Welsh) Emrich, 70, of Middletown, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Monday, July 10, 2023. She was born on Thursday, October 2, 1952 to the late Paul E. Welsh and Dorothy (Bretz) Mikan. She is predeceased by her loving husband since March 19, 2018, John “Jack” Harry Emrich.

Nancy was an avid bingo player and PennState football fan. She retired from PennDOT and most enjoyed her time working in the communications department. In her spare time, she loved being with family and friends on the porch, listening to blue grass, or sitting on the beach. Nancy loved being at her beach house in Florida and going for long county rides with her friend Leroy. She was a lifetime member of the Middletown Legion, Moose, and VFW. More than anything she was a loving sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her siblings: Barbara Lentz, Donna Fallinger, Paul Welsh Jr., and wife Jackie, Jeannie Kreiser, Sandra Blouch and husband Michael, and Gary Welsh and wife Diana; numerous dearly loved nieces and nephews; friends, Leroy Cleland and Joanne Rehrer; and K9 companion Cocoa. She is predeceased by her siblings, Susan and Mark Welsh.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11 AM at New Beginnings Church, 630 S. Union St., Middletown, PA 17057 with Pastor Britt Strohecker officiating.  A time of viewing will be held from 10 AM until the start of the service. Private burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at a later date.
