Nancy B. Uhrich, age 77, of Lancaster (formerly of Elizabethtown) passed away on February 24,2015 after a brief illness. She is the beloved wife of Marlin E. Uhrich. They would be married 60 years on July 2, 2015. Born in Palmyra on June 21, 1937, she was the daughter of John A. and Minnie (Martin) Bomgardner.
She will be missed by her three children, Jeannie (Mel) Bohince, Pittsburgh, PA; Judy (Robert) Johnstonbaugh, Allison Park, PA; and James (Michele), Columbia, MD and her cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Dana, Hannah, Nathan, Nina, Naomi, and Remmy.
Nancy was a graduate of Hershey High School. She was employed at the Milton Hershey School in the accounting office and retired in 1997 after 30 years of employment. She was a long-time member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Elizabethtown. She was also a member of the Hershey Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She loved spending summers having her grandchildren visit for vacations and they will remember her for her abundant love.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Jadon Uhrich, and her brothers and sisters; John, Wayne, Leroy, Floyd, and Quentin Bomgardner, Earlene Brandt and Vesta Long Kern. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 7 PM at the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 with Rev. Dr. Galen E. Russell III officiating. Private Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 6 PM until the time of the service on Saturday.
