Nancy L. (Smith) Herr

Nancy L. Herr, 80, of Mount Joy, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born in Bainbridge, she was the daughter of the late Monroe and Anna (Bachman) Smith. She was the wife of the late Robert G. Herr who died in 1998.
Nancy was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Bainbridge. She was retired from Poser’s Department Store in Hershey, where she was the manager of the children’s clothing department. Nancy had a green thumb and enjoyed working in her garden. She was also an avid Phillies fan and never missed a game on television. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by a daughter, Wendy J., wife of Robert Biggs, Lancaster and a son, Timothy A. Herr, husband of Patricia, Bernville; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 106 North Second Street, Bainbridge, PA 17502 at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be held on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
