Nancy Patricia (Forney) Garber, 88, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital.  She was born Monday, June 28, 1926 in Lancaster to the late Abram H. and Hulda I. (Holsinger) Forney.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph M. Garber in 2002.

Nancy retired from the Elizabethtown Area School District as a Reading teacher.  She was a faithful member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, as well as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Peace Makers Guild at the Masonic Village.  She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed quilting.  Much of her work was donated to the Linus Project and cancer patients.  Nancy was an avid golfer and a former member of the Conestoga County Club.  Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Anne G. Ketchum and husband Joseph S. Connovitch of Elizabethtown and Jesse G. Bixler and husband Steven C. of Elizabethtown; 6 grandchildren, Neil Ketchum and wife Beth of Elizabethtown, Abigail Ketchum of Harrisburg, Sara Paine and husband Ryan of Elizabethtown, John Bixler and wife Amy of Elizabethtown, Alyson Schoch Carlsen of IL, and Karyn Schoch Andersen of IL; and 8 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a daughter Jan P. Schoch; and a brother, Abe Forney.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Mount Tunnel Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022.
