M. Jean (Lamison) Snavely

M. Jean (Lamison) Snavely, 90, of Middletown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the Middletown Home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on Friday, November 13, 1925 in Middletown to the late Ralph G. and Anna A. (Stoner) Lamison.  She was married to Glenn L. Snavely for over 37 years until his passing on July 16, 1980.

Jean was a longtime member of Mount Calvary Church, Elizabethtown.

She is survived by three children: Susan J. Kohr and husband William H., of Lancaster; Glenn R. Snavely and wife Barbara A., of Elizabethtown; Joel M. Snavely and wife Teri P., of Middletown; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and a sister-in-law Odette Lamison, of Mechanicsburg as well as Jean’s extended family and caring friends.  She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffry D. Snavely; a sister, Romaine Garman and two brothers, Gerald and Ralph Lamison.

The family of Mrs. Snavely would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Rachael, Linda and all of those at Homeland Hospice for their care and a special thank you to Tera, Kim, Ty, Angel and all the other caregivers for their gentle, compassionate care.  You were a blessing!

A Memorial Service will be held at Mount Calvary Church, 625 Holly Street, Elizabethtown, PA on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 2 PM with Pastor Richard Vaughn officiating.  A time of visitation will follow the service on Sunday.  Private burial will be at the convenience of the family at Middletown Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.
