MIRIAM A. HOFFMAN

Miriam A. Hoffman, 89, of Conewago Township, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

She was born on April 19, 1924 in Conewago Township to the late Arthur S. & Ada B. (Aldinger) Forry.

Miriam was a member of Conewago Church of the Brethren where she attended Bible study, participated in the women’s fellowship, the quilting circle and sang in the choir. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, reading and scrabble.

She was the widow of Arthur S. Hoffman and was preceded in death by a granddaughter Stacey Templin, four brothers Joseph Forry, Martin Forry, Harrison Forry, Arthur Forry and a sister Joyce Miller.

Surviving are two sons Arthur F. Hoffman and his wife Cecilia of Canon City, CO, Douglas F. Hoffman and his wife Jolene of Shermansdale, five daughters Sylvia E. Coble and her husband David of Hershey, Carolyn F. Parmer and her husband Dale G. of Hummelstown, Kathleen F. Templin and her husband Larry of Hummelstown, Christine F. Kreiser and her husband Michael A. of Hummelstown, Julia A. Yiengst and her husband Michael of Palmyra, a brother Lawrence Forry of Palmyra, two sisters Anna Mae A. Watts of Annville, Nancy A. Miller of Palmyra, 25 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12pm (Noon) on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in the Conewago Church of the Brethren. Burial will be in West Green Tree Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 10am until 12pm (Noon) on Wednesday in the church.
