Milton N. Wirtz

Milton Norbert Wirtz, 87, of Elizabethtown died on October 29, 2016 at ManorCare. Born in Cockeysville, MD, he was the son of the late Erving L. and Alice R. (Bosley) Wirtz. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Christina C. (Cuthbert) Wirtz.

Milton worked on the family cattle farm, and took over running it after his father was no longer able to. He overcame great odds, and lived a long and productive life.

He was known for his Christmas gardens, flower gardens, and his 4-H work. He had the greatest love for his grandchildren. He will be remembered for wearing his signature cowboy hat and boots.

He is survived by three children: Danielle Gonzales, wife of Louis, of Elizabethtown, Dana Bowling of Cocoa Beach, FL, and Donnie Wirtz, fiancée of Michael, of Bel Air, MD; nine grandchildren: Alexis, Dimitri, Zoe, Callia, Nicole, Donnie, Michael, Tommy and Tyler; great grandson Ethan, and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his daughter Faith Stewart, son Michael Wirtz, and four siblings, Herb Wirtz, Bud Wirtz, Bob Wirtz, and Jeanette Hedrick.

Memorial celebrations will be private and at the convenience of the family.
