Mildred Mae (Heisy) Pankake, 87, of Palmyra, passed away in Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon on July 12, 2013. She was born Saturday, July 3, 1926 in Hummelstown to the late Arthur and Mary (Miller) Heisey. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Earl Pankake.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Sandra Light and husband Robert and Betty Hoffer and husband Marvin; a son, Rick Pankake and wife Shirley; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by 5 siblings.
Mildred was a member of Lawn EC Church. She enjoyed crocheting afghans and donated generously to the Linus Foundation. Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 15th at 11 AM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Rev. William E. Stoffel EdD. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the services. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Hummelstown.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Good Samaritan Hospice, made payable to Department of Good Samaritan Hospital and Hospice, PO Box 1281, 1503 Quentin Rd, Lebanon, PA 17042, please indicate hospice designation on memorial contributions.
