Michael David Parker, 55, of Mt. Joy, passed away on September 25, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy.  He was born December 8, 1961 in Columbia to the late John L., Jr. and Mary Louise “Mary Lou” (Wisman) Parker.   He is survived by his loving wife Jill Elaine (Walker) Parker.

He is also survived by 2 step-children, Jennifer Hilt (Joshua) and Jason Saurbaugh (Lacey); 4 granddaughters, Paige, Jocelyn, Leigha, and Rachel Saurbaugh; 2 siblings, John Parker, III (Cathy) and Raeann Schatz (Gary); a nephew, Thomas; 2 nieces, Amii and Amber; and 2 canine companions, Addie and Jack.

Michael was a dedicated employee of Armstrong World Industries for 28 years.  He was an avid hunter and did his own taxidermy work.  He loved his dogs and his granddaughters who affectionately called him Pop.  Most importantly he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

Graveside services were private at the convenience of the family in Marietta Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 29 N. Gay St., Marietta 17547.
