Michael Stuart Boozer

Michael S. Boozer, 71, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born Sunday, July 4, 1954 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Jay M. and Erma (Ginder) Boozer. He was married 37 years to Robin L. (Kilpatrick) Boozer.

Mike was a 1972 graduate of Elizabethtown Area High School and Lancaster County CTC. He served his apprenticeship with Associated Builders and Contractors, and worked as an electrician for over 50 years with Martin, Hawthorne, Fullerton and Hertzler electrical contractors. He served as a Forrest Fire Fighter, fighting fires out west and in the Appalachian Mountains. Mike enjoyed bowling, softball, cross country and down hill skiing with friends in Park City, UT and mountain biking. He was an avid Phillies fan and cherished his grandson, both in person and via video chat.

Surviving in addition to his wife Robin are two children, Derek M. Boozer and wife Bridgette Maloney of Santa Fe, NM, Kathryn E. Boozer and husband Ricardo La Mattina of York, grandson Errol J. Maloney, and siblings, Jay E. Boozer and wife Janet, Terry S. Boozer and wife Sharon, Philip K. Boozer and wife Faythe and James M. Boozer and wife Rae Ann. He is preceded in death by his sister, Linda L. Boozer.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 25th at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 398 North Locust Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, September 24th at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 from 5:00-7:00 PM and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
