Maurine Amelia Beverage, 96, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Saturday, April 11, 2026. She was born on April 14, 1929 to the late Roderick and Jeanette (Callahan) Duke. She was predeceased by her loving husbands, Irving Vanderhoef, Charles Newell, and Harper Beverage.
Maurine had a strong faith and a was a member of the Campbelltown UMC, she also taught bible study to children. She absolutely loved to laugh, and she had a love for animals. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, drawing, painting, or reading. More than anything she loved being with her family, she was a loving mother, and grandmother to many generations.
She is survived by her children, Roderick Vanderhoef, Bruce Vanderhoef, Roy Vanderhoef, Cliff Vanderhoef and wife Karen, and John Vanderhoef and wife Dawn; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Geroldine Vanderhoef. She was predeceased by her twin sister Doreen Hall.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25 at noon at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A time of visitation will be held from 11 am until the start of the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to her church, Campbelltown United Methodist Church, 2760 Horseshoe Pike, Palmyra, PA 17078.
