Mary Joyce Fulmer, 73, of Elizabethtown, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 25, 2024. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter to the late Thomas P. and Grace C. (Mooney) Lydon. Joyce was the loving wife to Thomas R. Fulmer for 39 years.
Joyce received her undergraduate degree in social work from Millersville University, and her master’s in health education from Penn State University. She loved animals, especially cats, and was passionate about nature. Joyce was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and celebrated 48 years of sobriety. She was very spiritual and close to God.
In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by her two brothers, Thomas Lydon and wife, Sharon and Christopher Lydon and wife, Angie; two brothers-in-laws, James Fulmer and wife, Joan and Tryge Thoresen; and nieces and nephews, Jason Lydon, Jessica Lydon, Johnathon Lydon, Dan Fulmer, and Chrissy Fulmer. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marianne Lydon-Thoresen, along with her parents.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 31 at 10AM at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, 119 Aspen Alley, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Family and Friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, October 30 from 5-7PM at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
