MaryAnn Waleff

MaryAnn Waleff, 90, of Maytown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Born in Clairton, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Emma (Patrick) Demchok. She was the loving wife of 67 years to the late Louis M. Waleff, Sr., who passed in 2022.

MaryAnn was a secretary at Elizabethtown College, member of the schoolboard at Elizabethtown Area School District, and a member of the Elizabethtown Women’s Club. She enjoyed bowling, crochet and macramé, pinochle, reading, and word searches. She loved her cats and watching Law & Order: SVU. MaryAnn was always very welcoming and liked hosting.

She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy L. Clinger and husband Craig, and Valerie Minnich and husband David; one son, Gary C. Waleff; six grandchildren; and her cat, Grover. She was preceded in death by two sons, Paul L. Waleff and Louis M. Waleff; one sister, Dolores Dusi; along with her husband and parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 11AM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 904 Mill Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Historic Catholic Cemetery, Elizabethtown, PA. Family and friends are invited to view from 10AM until the time of service.
