Mary E. Strawn

Mary Elizabeth (Eichlin) Strawn, 88, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Masonic Village. Born in Easton, PA she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Hallman) Eichlin. She was widowed by her loving husband of 66 years, George L. Strawn in 2014.

Mary was the traditional good loving mother. She was a kind person who seemed to never meet a stranger, and got along with everyone. Mary enjoyed going to the pool and going on family vacations to the Jersey shore. One accomplishment that she was always proud of was being a cheerleader for Easton High School.

Mary is survived by her son Keith Strawn (Leanne) of Leland, NC., three grandchildren: Erika Kuntz (Matthew) of Raleigh, NC, Ian Strawn (Olivia) of Easton, PA, Allison Anderson (Jonathan) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother William Eichland, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00PM on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the John S. Sell Chapel, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, with Pastor Gary S. George officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:30-4:00PM. Interment will be in the columbarium at the Sell Chapel at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown for the Hospice program and mailed to Masonic Village, Office of Gift Planning, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, or to St. John United Church of Christ 651 Easton Rd., Riegelsville, PA 18077.
