Mary S. (Wolfe) Shumaker

Mary S. Shumaker, 84, of Bainbridge, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at St. Anne’s Retirement Community in Columbia. Born in Port Carbon, Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Amelia (Williams) Wolfe. She was married for 36 years to William E. Shumaker who died in 2011.
Mary was retired from Wyeth Labs in Marietta. Previously she was the owner/operator of Cinderella Beauty Salon in Marietta for 10 years. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Elizabethtown Moose and the VFW, Elizabethtown. Mary also enjoyed spending time in Delaware.
She is survived by a son DeVonne Jay, husband of Cheryl Spicher, Wrightsville; a daughter Cindy M. Spicher, Elizabethtown; three grandchildren: Kristina Boxberger, Matthew (Lan) Spicher and Kyle Spicher; a great granddaughter Kalina Spicher; a sister Anna Whitcom, Elizabethville and a devoted niece Kay (Lloyd) Lehman.
Mary was preceded in death by two sisters: Clara and Mae, and two brothers: Robert and Jay.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at
Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in West Green Tree Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
