Mary J (Grams) Shepler

Mary Jane (Grams) Shepler, 91, of Columbia, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, May 21, 2015 in Susquehanna Valley Nursing Home.  She was born Saturday, October 13, 1923 in Lancaster to the late Mark and Margaret (Strimble) Grams.  She was predeceased by her loving husband R. George Shepler in 1987.

Mary loved cooking and enjoyed playing Bingo.  Most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

She is survived by 7 children, Jean Shepler of Lancaster, Sandy Shepler of Kennett Square, Donald Shepler of Lancaster, Ronald Shepler and wife Susie of Lancaster, Harry “Jim” Shepler and wife Linda of Lititz, Diane Shepler of Elizabethtown, and Barry Shepler of Lancasster; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by 4 children, George Shepler, Mary E. Marrero, Patricia A. Rethford, and Douglas Shepler.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Broadview Cemetery, Hershey.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022.
