Mary E. (Moyer) Kreider

Mary Elizabeth (Moyer) Kreider, 92, of Palmyra, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. She was born Friday, December 10, 1920 in Lebanon to the late Raymond S. and Iva C. (Wood) Moyer. She was predeceased by her loving husband Richard E. Kreider.

She is survived by a son, Steven Kreider; sister-in-law, Patricia Desch; niece, Sandra Desch; and friend, Nancy E. Bunch.

Mary graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in teaching from West Chester State Teachers College. She taught kindergarten for 28 years in the Palmyra School District. She also worked and volunteered for 20 years at Spang Crest Manor in Lebanon. She was a longtime active member of Palm Lutheran Church. She served on numerous committees and was involved in many different organizations. Mary was an avid traveler, taking many trips both domestic and international. Most importantly she was a loving mother.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 14th at 11 AM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Rev. Dr. John D. Merkel officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 10 AM until time of the services. Burial will be in Mt. Annville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
