MARY B. KAYLOR

Mary B. Kaylor, 95, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 in St. Anne’s Retirement Community, Columbia.

She was born on April 3, 1918 in Hershey, PA to the late Samuel J. Bell and Henrietta Cassel Bell.

Mary was a graduate of Hershey High School and upon graduation worked at the Hershey Chocolate Factory. She owned and operated a stand at the Broad Street Market selling eggs and chickens; and eventually retired from Dutchland Farms as an egg quality control inspector.

A member of West Green Tree Church of the Brethren, she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening as well as reading books, especially about the Amish.

She was the widow of J. Shelly Kaylor.

Surviving is a son Jay K. Kaylor and his wife Carolyn of Cordova, TN, two daughters Judith M. Dulany and her husband Tim of Elizabethtown, Janice A. Kaylor and her fiancé C.J. Furlong of Mount Joy, a sister Betty Ament of Mount Joy, two brothers Earl Bell of Harrisburg, and John Bell of TN, 10 grandchildren Erik Kaylor, Melanie Fioritto, Jennifer Sarnoff, Mike Dulany, Kelleigh Dulany, Lonnie Nolt, Elisha Engle, Kimberly Brigandi, Michael Adams, Scott Adams, and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers Jay Bell, Richard Bell, six sisters Mildred Eshenour, Orpha Knapp, Ruth Good, Eva Etter, Verna Roush and Ethel Cline.

Viewing will be from 12:30pm to 2pm on Friday, December 27, 2013 in the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory of Elizabethtown followed by funeral services at 2pm. Interment will be in West Green Tree Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff of St. Anne’s Retirement Community for the compassionate care they gave Mary during her stay there.
