Mary K. Mummert

Mary K. Mummert, 83, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. She was born May 22, 1943, to the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Clouch) Strome. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Eric Mummert.

Mary enjoyed visiting family in Florida, conversing with extended family in Arizona, and El Paso along with camping, bonfires, listening to country music and enjoying s'mores and ice cold beer. Mary also enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Bengals and was very patriotic. She loved her dogs, and was an avid collector of Native American artifacts. More than anything she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Lhonda Kanode and Lonnie Coots and wife Missy; grandchildren, Kirsta and husband Josh, Alexa, Logan, Dakota, Ian and wife Taylor, Wade; great grandchildren, Alana, Hailey, Easton, Amelia, Asher, Alastair, Naomi and Ash. She was predeceased by a son, Robert “Bobby” Chura.

Services will be held at John S. Sell Memorial Chapel at a later date.
