Mary Ann (Hlavaty) Ceresini

Mary Ann (Hlavaty) Cerisini, 82, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital, with family by her side. She was born on Monday, July 28, 1941 to the late Frank J. Hlavaty and Mary A. (Milovich) Rittle. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Paul Joseph Ceresini, since July 17, 2017.

Mary was a graduate of Lebanon High School, class of 1959. She went on to continue her education at Empire Beauty School and start her career as a beautician. In 1998 she graduated from Rhema Bible College. She was a faithful member of the Living Waters Chapel in Lebanon and active in the Bible Study. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, and she loved Christmas. More than anything she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her children: Deborah Strohm, Sharon Bailies and husband Kevin, Ginny O’Neil and fiancé Wayne Veach, Jay Thome and wife Berenda, and Daniel Thome; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way; and siblings, Frank Hlavaty, Frances Drescher, and Ralph Edward and John Rittle. In addition to her parents and husband she is predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia Hurst, grandson, David G. Strohm and great-granddaughter, Morgan Anne French.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 11AM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Pastor Richard Weitzel officiating. A time of viewing will be held from 10AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow at the Hershey Cemetery, Hershey.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to her church, Living Waters Chapel, 1900 Jay St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
