Martha Jane (Gibbons) Roland

Martha Jane (Gibbons) Roland, 86, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Longwood Manor, Maytown. She was born Tuesday, October 9, 1928 in Lancaster County to the late Elder Allen and Bertha Mae (Artz) Gibbons. She was predeceased by her loving husband Charles E. Roland in 2012.
Martha retired from the American Association of Meat Processors after 37 years of loyal service. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church for 55 years. She was an avid gourmet cook and enjoyed gardening. Martha and her husband Charles traveled extensively in foreign countries and took several cruises. Most importantly she was a loving sister, aunt, and friend.
She is survived by a sister, Anna Mae Bockey; a brother, John William Gibbons; 4 nieces and nephews, Deborah Zeise, Douglas Bockey, Denise Hall, and Derrick Bockey; 5 great-nieces and nephews, Tanya, Brooke, Jennifer, Tara, and, Jordan; and 4 great-great nieces and nephews, Zoey, Joseph, Jacob, and Caswell.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 2nd at 1:30 PM at Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022 with Pastor Tom Grubbs officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 1 PM until time of the service. Burial will follow in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
